Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly being warned by friends not to rush into her new romance.

The former Pussycat Doll, 37, began dating Formula 1 whizz Lewis Hamilton in 2007 and after a turbulent few years, the couple seemingly split for good in February 2015. Nicole is now said to be enjoying the company of tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, 24, who was involved with Maria Sharapova until July (15). While the blossoming relationship appears to be going well, those close to the singer are said to be worried about the pace at which things are moving.

"Nicole really likes Grigor and loves spending time with him, but her friends are wondering whether she still has feelings for Lewis and have warned her to take things slowly," an insider told Britain's Closer magazine. "Nicole and Lewis were together for such a long time and they're still in touch so her friends don't want her to get hurt."

It's thought Nicole and Lewis, 30, called things quits because the racing car driver wasn't ready to settle down. He's since been linked to the likes of Kendall Jenner and Rihanna, but earlier in November (15) it seemed as though he and Nicole had rekindled their spark when spotted out together in London. This isn't thought to be the case though, and Lewis is said to be having a hard time coming to terms with his ex-girlfriend moving on.

"He's already told Nicole it will kill him to see her with someone else, let alone a younger sportsman," the insider added. "Nicole doesn't want to hurt his feelings but she can't put her life on hold. He won't settle down and, without the promise or marriage and babies, she's not going back."

Luckily Nicole has recently escaped the rumoured drama and has dazzled fans with stunning photos of herself while holidaying in the Maldives.
