Rapper Ice-T and wife Nicole 'Coco' Austin welcomed their first child together, daughter Chanel Nicole, on Saturday (28Nov15).
The 57-year-old musician and his curvaceous model spouse hadn't been expecting Chanel's arrival for another three weeks. But this weekend, the couple introduced their newborn to the world.
Chanel was born at 11.47am in Englewood, New Jersey, and weighed 5lbs 7oz.
Coco posted a picture of her daughter on Twitter shortly after her arrival, writing alongside the snap: "Surprise!!! Look who came early!! Welcome the new arrival of Chanel Nicole. A beautiful healthy 5.7 pound baby girl."
The picture shows Chanel swaddled in a blanket, wearing a sweet bow headband as she yawns at the camera.
And rapper turned actor Ice-T added on his own page: "Ladies and Gentlemen! Please allow me to introduce to the World … Baby Chanel 5.7 pounds. Love is Love."
Chanel is the first child for Coco but the third for Ice-T, who has two adult children Tracy and Letesha from previous relationships.
The couple document their lives on reality television show Ice and Coco and decided to announce their happy pregnancy news back in July during a taping for an upcoming episode.
Since then, Coco has frequently posted pictures of her changing figure on her various social networks.
She added in a recent interview that she couldn't wait to welcome her daughter and embrace motherhood.
"I think it’s time. I think I’m in that stage in my life where I need this,” she told America's People magazine. “I’ve done everything in my life pretty much career-wise and … I’ve been in a happy marriage for 15 years. It feels really, really good.
"It’s time for me to make this big jump. I can’t wait to have a little character running around the house. It’s just meant to be."
