Yoko Ono & The Flaming Lips to release 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)'

Yoko Ono will release a limited edition vinyl of her and John Lennon’s classic ‘Happy Xmas (War Is Over)’ with The Flaming Lips.

1000 copies of the new Yoko Ono & The Flaming Lips single will be released in stores on black vinyl in stores only and a further 500 even more limited will be released on white vinyl for mail orders only.



Yoko Ono & The Flaming Lips recorded the Christmas classic for the ‘All Is Bright’ project in 2014 which also features Holiday songs by Lucinda Williams, Amanda Palmer, the Tom Tom Club, Ladyhawke and Brandi Carlile; while Liz Phair, Anna Nalick, Blondfire and Ruby the RabbitFoot.

This isn’t the first time Yoko Ono has paid lip service with Wayne Coyne. The Flaming Lips also collaborated with Yoko Ono on ‘Cambridge 1969/1970’ from her 2007 album ‘Yes I’m A Witch’. That album also featured a collaboration with Australia’s The Sleepy Jackson.
