Tonight live from Radio Theatre at BBC Broadcasting House Benjamin Clementine was announced as the 2015 Mercury Prize winner.

Presented by Lauren Laverne the show that celebrated the12 shortlisted albums for the 2015 Mercury Prize in association with BBC Music.

"I don't know what to say," the 26-year-old said inviting all the nominees to take to the stage with him.

He then broke down in tears dedicating the award to the victims of the Paris terror attacks.

Clementine had spent his early 20s living in Paris, and busked on the metro to get by.

He told BBC News he had returned to the city last weekend to support friends who had been so affected by the tragedy.

The programme showcased performances from the shortlisted artists live from the Radio Theatre with ESKA, Benjamin Clementine, Slaves and Roisin Murphy all playing live.

Highlights of sessions with more of the shortlisted artists filmed for 6 Music and Radio 1 at Maida Vale and the Live Lounge earlier in the day were also played.
