Elton welcomes the first ever guest onto his Beats 1 show, Brandon Flowers from The Killers. The recording took place in Las Vegas, the birth place and home of Brandon and where Elton currently does his residency show ‘The Million Dollar Piano’.
Elton and Brandon have been friends for a long time and in this preview clip, they talk about life in Vegas, how Brandon used to listen to Elton when he was younger and how Brandon began his career in dive bars and transvestite clubs. They also touch briefly on the joy of discovering new music from old classics to new artists and the dangers of new artists being pushed too quickly into the limelight. These topics will be expanded upon in the full broadcast with Elton and Brandon delving into their music collections and discussing everyone from The Beach Boys to Sturgill Stimson.
