Assets from rapper Lil Wayne's Florida mansion were seized by officials on Tuesday (03Nov15), stemming from a lawsuit over unpaid private jet fees.

The Lollipop star was sued by bosses of Signature Group, a company that leases private jets to celebrities, last year (14), claiming he had not paid any bills during the first two years of his three-year deal.

Wayne insisted he had never signed a contract with the group, but in September (15), the court disagreed and ruled in favour of Signature, ordering the rapper to pay $1 million (£625,000) in the settlement.

However, Wayne allegedly refused to pay the bill, and TMZ.com reported that the figure ballooned to $1.8 million (£1.1 million), with an added $200,000 (£125,000) in legal fees.

As a result, police officers and civil processing units in Miami Beach obtained a warrant allowing them to raid the rapper's home to seize the star's assets.

Local news stations report Wayne was not home at the time, but video footage shows officials loading various pieces of his property from the house into a large truck.

TMZ reports they obtained extremely expensive pieces from Wayne's art collection, which is reportedly worth up to $30 million (£18.8 million).

This isn't the first time Wayne's had a visit from police to his Miami Beach estate - in March (15), cops swarmed the home after receiving a call on the local station's non-emergency number from a man claiming to have fired at four people inside the home. It was later revealed the shooting was a hoax.

Wayne is part of another very expensive legal case currently, as he sued his Cash Money for millions of dollars, claiming the record label withheld money from the last two albums he made with them.
