Beyoncé's father Mathew Knowles insists rumours about her marriage make no impression on her.

The superstar singer and her husband Jay Z have been embroiled in speculation about their union even since her sister Solange was filmed attacking the rapper in an elevator at the Met Ball in 2014. Although Beyoncé has repeatedly posted images of her and Jay looking blissful while on holiday on social media, sources have continued to claim all isn't well. Now the star's father, who used to manage her, has opened up about their marriage.

"You don't even know half the stuff!" he told Britain's Heat magazine when asked about the rumours. "I don't have time to read it, but that stuff doesn't mean anything to Beyoncé. I'm so proud of her - she's surrounded with a wonderful team who I trained. Beyoncé will make mistakes, we all do, but she has learned from them."

Beyoncé became famous as part of Destiny's Child alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams - the final line-up following several changes. Her first group was called Girls Tyme and they competed in a singing competition, which is when Mathew knew she was going to become a superstar.

"She was on Star Search when she was 12 and she was the one whod say, 'We have to practise more, we have to play longer,'" he recalled. "At that time, I was just a dad who carried the luggage. They were so convinced they'd win - they had a whole hotel room for their costumes. When they lost, it was a defining moment and I became part of the organisation."

In September (15), Mathew hinted a new Destiny's Child record and tour could be in the making. There have been repeated rumours about them teaming up since their 2006 split, which reached fever pitch when Beyoncé played the Super Bowl half-time show in 2013 and brought her former bandmates on stage with her. This followed the release of Destiny's Child album Love Songs in January 13, which included some of their romance-themed tracks and one new recording called Nuclear. Mathew is adamant fans are in for a treat before long.

"There will be another Destiny's Child album and a reunion," he stated. "I got a wonderful email from Michelle two nights ago. She said, 'Shouldn't be a problem with you and I. I'm clear on who does what and that's all that matters. I've been clear on my role for 15 years and have no issues.' We set goals high and only had one - to be the number-one female artists of all time."
