Olly Murs spoke to Free Radio about who he thinks might win this year’s X Factor, performing on the live shows in November, how he’s happy he isn’t at judges’ houses and lastly how Caroline still keeps an eye on Strictly!
On not being at Judges' Houses:
It is amazing to think you could go to all these different destinations, but I’m actually happy we’re not doing it because the jet lag and everything going to the different countries back and forth, and getting on a plane is quite a lot of work. I’m actually quite pleased I’m just stuck in the UK, it’s quite nice! Grimmy is in Manchester, that’s not even a joke, he actually did that! Obviously he’s got radio commitments as you know. I feel sorry for him actually having to do that, but he’s keeping it real!
On performing on the X Factor:
Yes I’m gonna be performing in November, I can’t wait. It’s gonna be nice as well, because this year, all the contestants will have got to know me and they’re all gonna be there, so it’s gonna be nice to show the guys what I’m all about and what I’m doing, and obviously my new song!
On Caroline keeping an eye on Strictly:
She’s obviously reigning champion so of course she’s gonna be watching parts of it. But obviously when we start doing the live live shoes, she can’t, because we’re doing X Factor at the same time! But no, it’s always gonna be in her veins, and she loves the show very very much. But now she’s obviously in X Factor world, so we’re all about trying to keep it exciting!
On who could win this year’s X Factor:
I can’t tell you! I don’t know what the public think, it’s up to everyone listening, they’ve got to vote. I obviously think Louisa, Che Chesterman, Anton’s great, Seann Miley Moore, The First Kings, there’s so many, Josh Daniels. There’s so many great artists, I just think it’s a case of who gets the most votes!
