Sam Smith has delivered a sweet “surprise” to fans.

The 23-year-old Stay With Me singer was banned from speaking or singing after undergoing surgery on his vocal cords in May.

And after being medically silenced for so long, Sam is eager to get back into the studio to start recording new tracks.

“Surprise!! (sic),” Sam wrote on his Twitter account Friday June 19th. “NEW F***ING MUSIC LITTLE SAILORS”

Shortly after publishing his announcement, the crooner retweeted a message written by London electronic duo Disclosure that reads: “That's right... Round two, here we go @samsmithworld (sic)”

Both musical acts shared the same black-and-white image of Sam while making their Internet announcements. The picture has white lines etched onto Sam’s face, a trademark design for all of Disclosure’s cover artwork for their musical releases.

Earlier in the day Sam let loose on social media with multiple expressions of excitement.

“I have just found out I have sold 8 F***ING MILLION RECORDS of 'In The Lonely Hour' WHAT THE ACTUAL F*** (sic),” he wrote on his Instagram account in a caption attached to an image of him holding a glass full of champagne high, as if he were about to toast.

The pop star also shared a photo of a giant aquatic creature on a platter being held by a waiter in between two men with the caption reading: “I’m having fish tonight”.

It seemed as if Sam was behind the camera of the fish dinner post, with the musician dining with friends at a swanky restaurant.

He also tweeted a sweet general message in the afternoon.

“Love me and don't look back. I want you with me to this road to the sky, we'll be shining every night I promise you. Just me and you,” Sam wrote.
