Rita Ora is reportedly working with Chris Brown.

The 24-year-old singer has experienced some issues with her second album, which will be a follow-up to 2012's Ora. She worked on many tracks with her now ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris - such as her hit I Will Never Let You Down - but it's been alleged when they split up he wouldn't let her use them.

That has delayed things, which could be why the star is said to have hit the studio with R&B singer Chris.

"The song with Chris sounds amazing and is bound to be a big hit. It’s the best song Rita’s done and will break her in the US," an insider claimed to British newspaper The Sun.

Although the move could be good for Rita professionally, apparently it's not doing much for her personal life. The choice of collaborator is said to have irritated Rihanna, who dated Chris until he assaulted her in 2009. They had an on/off relationship after the incident, but haven't been romantically linked for over a year now.

"Rihanna’s always been wary of Rita. They have a similar image and there’s hardly a big difference in their music," the source explained.

The new material is for the star's upcoming album, and it's suggested she is readying to release it as a single following the record first offering Poison.

Although Rita hasn't released much new music over the last few years, she has kept busy. As well as appearing in the movie adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey she appeared as a judge on The Voice UK, and she's tipped to make the move to The X Factor this year.

Her personal life has also settled down, thanks to a relationship with Ricky Hil whose father is fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.
