Demi Lovato is taking the opportunity to make music that “feels right”.

The 22-year-old singer is currently preparing to release her fifth studio album. And in a new interview, Demi has revealed she is thrilled that the upcoming record is already forming into something she is incredibly proud of.

“For this album, I’m making music that feels right to me,” Demi told MTV News. “This time around, I was able to explore different sounds, and hone in on something that I’m really proud of.”

Demi has her fair share of celebrity friends, including the Jonas Brothers and Kim Kardashian.

Asked who she would potentially like to team up with on the new record, Demi said she has her eye on one of her famous pals for a collaboration.

“I would love to collaborate with Iggy,” Demi said. “Not only is she a good friend of mine, but she’s also incredibly talented.”
Demi first shot to fame in Disney Channel movie Camp Rock before moving into music with her debut record Don’t Forget, released back in 2008.

And as she prepares for her new album, Demi says she is continually being inspired by the things around her when it comes to penning her tracks.

“I’m inspired by something every day so those experiences will definitely be reflected on my next album,” she said.

Demi can next be seen performing at DigiFest at New York this Saturday, alongside famous names such as Bea Miller and Nash Grier.

Speaking about the upcoming event, Demi admitted she is thoroughly looking forward to the occasion.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun!” Demi said. “You can expect to hear some of my favorite songs from Demi and definitely some older surprises, but no new music just yet.”
