Pink might make jazz next.
The rock-pop star is best known for belting out raucous tracks like So What and Raise Your Glass. But now she's shown a softer side as one half of folk duo You+Me. She and musical partner Dallas Green of City and Colour released their first single You and Me last month and have also produced their first album, rose ave.
"Don't you dare; I'll never grow up!" she laughed to German DPA when it was suggested her new sound may mean she's matured.
"A selection of my songs has always been calm and reflective. But clearly I find it difficult to convince my record agency to put these out as first singles.
"That's a huge part of who I am and how my father brought me up. I have no idea what the future holds; I'll continue following my heart. Maybe one day I'll make jazz... or heavy metal!"
Pink and Dallas' collaboration came as a big surprise for many of her fans. They managed to keep things under-wraps until the single dropped in September, which Pink appreciates.
"We had this freedom, because nobody knew about the project," the 35-year-old explained.
"There was no assignment, no plan, nothing - it was our little secret. It was very selfish, in a good way. It was just a great week with my buddy."
Singles Break the Cycle and Capsized have also been released from rose ave., which dropped on Tuesday.
