Nicki Minaj and Cara Delevingne have reportedly developed a "deep friendship".

The 31-year-old singer and the British model have been spending a lot of time together recently, including bonding backstage at Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z's recent On the Run show in Paris. They've detailed their time together on Instagram, posting pictures of themselves joking around, but it's been claimed there is a serious side to things too.

"Cara has developed a new and deep friendship with Nicki," an insider told British newspaper The Sun's Tom Thorogood.

"The pair have been talking almost every night since they met in Paris. Nicki has been giving her advice on everything from music to relationships."

Cara may have made her name as a high-end model for the likes of Burberry and Chanel, but she's dipping her toes into other career waters too. She's scored roles in several movies, including the lead in upcoming flick Paper Towns, and is also working on tracks in the studio. Apparently Nicki has been a lot of help with this, giving the 22-year-old model tips on what works and what isn't so strong.

This isn't Cara's first celebrity friendship; she is well known for spending time with members of the A-list. She was previously romantically linked to Michelle Rodriguez, although their relationship fizzled out after a few months.

She's also got close bonds with Rihanna and Rita Ora - who calls Cara her "wifey".

"I've only got a wifey! Cara [Delevingne] is officially mine. She's, like, untouchable. I've taken her off the market. We call each other 'wifey'," Rita said last year.

"You know what a wifey means? It's like your other half. Like when you get married, like, that's your wife!"
