Kanye West thinks people who don't support Kim Kardashian are "uptight motherf**kers".

The rapper is married to the reality TV star and is known for being outspoken.

When his wife took home the GQ Woman of the Year award at Tuesday night's ceremony in London, many people criticised the magazine's choice. However, Kanye insists she more than deserved the honour.

"It's well-deserved, for all these uptight motherf**kers who don't want to give her any credit..." he ranted to British newspaper Metro.

"And it's time. She is a legend! They don't understand what social media is so they only want to give it to actresses and blah blah blah and she is a legend."

Kim, 33, is primarily known for her reality show and her presence on Twitter and Instagram, where she often posts pouty selfies. While many are sceptical of her career, Kanye, 37, insists it's the future.

"They need to respect that and understand that and that's what we are doing in everybody's faces," he fumed.

"So middle finger to all the uptight people who don't want to stand up for Kim motherf**king Kardashian-West!"

Kim is thrilled with her award and has already revealed she plans to keep it in her "glam" room.

Also at the awards do was Rita Ora, 23, who looked happy despite her recent breakup from DJ Calvin Harris. Shortly before they split, the musicians recorded track I Will Never Let You Down together.

Much was made of the fact he prevented her from performing the song at last month's Teen Choice Awards, but the blonde starlet insists she will always love the tune.

"At that time, the song came from a good place so it always reminds me of that place," she smiled. "And I love the song."

In the past, Rita dated Kim's brother Rob, but things ended badly when he accused her of sleeping with other men on Twitter. It's thought to have left a bitter taste in Kim's mouth and they apparently stayed well away from each other at the GQ Awards.
