Britney Spears has reportedly been texting ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib after splitting from David Lucado.
Britney and British photographer Adnan were linked in 2008, and apparently they always stayed in touch.
The singer is said to have reached out to him again after discovering her boyfriend David was cheating on her.
“They have been secretly texting for several months. They are still close and very friendly,” a source told UK newspaper The Sun.
Britney posted a video on Instagram hinting at heartache, while new reports state her father Jaime Spears won’t let David talk to her.
Jaime apparently bought the video which showed David dancing and kissing another woman, in an effort to spare his daughter any embarrassment.
According to TMZ, David never had a final conversation with Britney, and his phone number has been blocked to ensure he can’t speak with her.
“We're told David never heard about the break up directly from Britney ... and he wants to have that talk, just in case he still has a slim shot. Our Spears sources say that's exactly why he's getting shut out,” reported the outlet.
Britney appears to be determined to move on, based on her social media activity. Soon after news broke about David allegedly cheating, the singer tweeted about being single.
“Ahhhh the single life!” she posted to her over 38 million followers.
