Britney Spears has supposedly split from her boyfriend David Lucado.
The 32-year-old Perfume hitmaker began dating the legal professional last year and speculation is rife they were planning to wed in December.
But according to TMZ, the couple has called it quits after Britney found video evidence of David cheating on her. The website reports a clip of David making out and dancing with a woman is “being shopped around Hollywood”. Apparently the footage was taken in early August.
When the outlet called David, a spokesperson allegedly apologised for the controversy on his behalf.
“David is very, very in love with Britney. This is unfortunate and he hopes that it all works out,” the rep told TMZ.
Britney seemed to have alluded to a breakup in a tweet she wrote on Thursday.
It seems she took to Twitter to lament a change in her relationship status.
“Ahhhh the single life!” she tweeted to her over 38 million followers.
Britney is already mom to Sean Preston, eight, and seven-year-old Jayden James, who she has with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Throughout the summer the songstress and David have been putting on a united front after breakup rumours emerged early in the season.
But it was recently claimed they were getting along so well of late, Britney even started to consider having David’s child after her Las Vegas concert residency concludes in 2015.
"Britney cannot wait until the Vegas show is done because she wants to start a family with David," an insider told Radar Online.
"She says she will get pregnant as soon as the show is finished."
Britney and David got together in March 2013, not long after she split from her fiancé Jason Trawick.
