Jessie J “kind of liked” Nicki Minaj’s wardrobe malfunction at the 2014 VMAs.
The pop star joined Nicki and Ariana Grande for a live performance of their hit track Bang Bang at the annual MTV awards ceremony last Sunday.
But Nicki was left holding her dress together during the show after it split down the middle, nearly revealing everything beneath.
While spitting her lyrics Nicki tried not to flash her private parts to the crowd and Jessie insists the way her collaborator held it together was the mark of a seasoned pro.
“I kind of liked it," the pop star told Joan Rivers on US chat show Fashion Police.
“She had both hands at least,” she mused of Nicki’s handless mic.
Jessie admitted the mishap had her somewhat confused, however.
While she entertained the crowd with Nicki and Ariana, the Do It Like A Dude hitmaker confessed she was wondering if she should have rushed to the rapper’s aid.
"I was like, what do I do? Do I help? Do I pull it up?" the British songstress said.
Nicki meanwhile has had to defend herself against rumours the whole ordeal was staged.
The rapper told The Hollywood Reporter after the show she simply "ran out of time getting zipped up" backstage and had to make it work.
She also took to Instagram late Sunday evening to explain, and insisted there were no hard feelings between herself and her stylists.
“God is good. As long as a nipple didn't come out to play, I'm fine. Love my team. CASPER, Rushka, Adam, Oscar, Joyce, Gee... Many more to name but they're all winners! No weak links,” she captioned a photo of herself holding the front of her dress together.
