Gwyneth Paltrow apparently loves the fact Jennifer Lawrence doesn't have the mindset of a groupie.
The rumour mill has gone in to overdrive recently with reports Jennifer is dating Chris Martin, whose ten-year marriage to Gwyneth came to an end earlier this year.
Now sources say Gwyneth, who has remained close to Chris, is pleased with his choice of partner.
"Gwyneth loves that Jen has integrity, and a sense of humour, and isn't like a lot of the mindless groupies who throw themselves at Chris. She told Chris that she has a good feeling about Jen and feels as if she's someone he can trust," an insider revealed to British magazine Grazia.
News of Gwyneth and Chris' split broke in March in a post on Gwyneth's website Goop titled 'Conscious Uncoupling'.
The Iron Man actress has daughter Apple, ten, and son Moses, eight, with Chris and is said to be determined to stay on good terms with him.
"Chris and Gwyneth still speak on the phone every day. It was part of their 'conscious uncoupling' agreement that they be 100 per cent open with each other, so Gwyneth knew from the start that he has been spending time with Jennifer - and told him that she was pleased he had found someone," the source added.
"Gwyneth had known for a long time that their relationship was coming to an end, so the last thing she'd do is be pretty about who he sees. She's genuinely happy for him."
Gwyneth is now thought to be dating Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk, who she met through her guest appearances on the singing show.
To show Jennifer just how OK with the situation she is, Gwyneth reportedly called her up for a chat.
"Gwyneth doesn't want Jen to feel uncomfortable and is well aware that she's an intimating act to follow, so she bit the bullet and picked up the phone.
"She wanted it to be a sisterly conversation rather that a big deal, and Jen played it cool, as she always does. But she was touched that Gwyneth reached out directly," the source said.
