George Michael would spend every day of his life in the studio if he could.
The singer has been huge since the '80s and is still going strong, having released his latest album Symphonica in March.
At the age of 51, George laughs at the idea of retiring from the music business.
"Creating a new piece of work motivates me," he smiled to the British edition of OK! magazine.
"I just love being creative and writing music. I feel completely at home in the studio and I'd spend every day of my life there if I could."
And it's not just making music that inspires George. He also likes listening to it and says it's helped him overcome tough times in the past.
In 2011 he suffered from pneumonia, which caused him to cancel shows and undergo a tracheostomy. His health took a further knock in 2013 when he fell from his moving car, sustaining a head injury.
"Listening to music always lifts my spirits," he smiled. "If ever I want to feel good about something - I can play a piece of music and it can change everything."
George came out in 1999 and has since been in relationships with Brazilian designer Anselmo Feleppa and former flight attendant Kenny Goss. He's currently single but thrilled at the advances regarding gay marriage.
"Yes, of course," he smiled when asked if he could see himself getting married. "Marriage is a fantastic thing if people love each other - it doesn't matter who you are."
