Lady Gaga reportedly has her heart set on being the first person to tie the knot in space.

The Poker Face songstress has been loved up with beau Taylor Kinney since 2011, and the couple are often spotted out and about together.

Next year is set to see the maiden voyage of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic flight, the first commercial trip to space.

Gaga has been asked to perform on the historical trip, and it's alleged she wants the celebration to be even more meaningful.
“Gaga and Taylor want to make a pledge for life, and think the space flight is too big an opportunity to pass up," a source revealed to British newspaper Daily Star.

“It would be typical of her to have the least conventional ‘wedding’ ever."

Gaga's space set reportedly meant she didn't have to pay the £150,000 ticket price that others did.

Her out-of-this-world concert will be beamed to the Zero G Colony festival in New Mexico.

While Gaga and Taylor are said to want to say their 'I do's' amongst the stars, they're being realistic about how legally binding it will.

“Of course it would be a simulated-style marriage as there wouldn’t be a priest or religious figure there.

“But they don’t care about convention, it’s more about making each other a life-long promise," the source added.

Other stars who are believed to be catching a ride to space when Richard's first foray into gravity defying travel departs next year are Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher and Katy Perry.

Richard has also said he'll be on board too.
