Beyoncé channels Nancy Sinatra in the new teaser for her On The Run Tour special.

The singer and husband Jay Z have been on the road performing their joint tour while simultaneously rehearsing for the TV event on HBO.

In a new clip for the extravaganza released this weekend, the pop star is shown singing Nancy’s Sinatra’s melancholy version of the 1966 hit.

The black-and-white video features Beyoncé wearing a gown as she croons on stage while Jay sits in the audience looking on as he puffs on a cigar.

HBO has scheduled the premiere of the On The Run Tour special for September 20.

MTV News reports the show will take from the couple’s final performances in Paris, scheduled for September 12 and 13.

The concert series has been marred by controversy for months, stemming from rumours Bey and Jay are on the rocks.

Earlier this month, reports claimed the songstress was fighting back tears while performing in Los Angeles as she belted out her track Resentment to an arena full of fans.

“She looked like she had been crying from the time the concert began,” an alleged concertgoer told Radar Online.

“Her eyes were really glassy and red, and it looked like she was just going through the motions on stage.”

The performance followed on the heels of reports things have become so bad between the pair they are staying in separate hotels while on tour.

While the couple have yet to comment on the rumours, Beyoncé all but shut them down with a series of posts of her family on social media.

A photo posted earlier this month showed Jay Z holding their daughter Blue Ivy as the family prepared to board a private jet.

“Thank you San Fran! Your city is beautiful. It was the perfect place to complete the best tour of my life! Thank you to all the fans that supported our show. God bless,” she wrote.
