Christina Aguilera has reportedly given birth to a daughter.

The 33-year-old singer and her fiancé Matt Rutler, who she became engaged to in January, welcomed their first child together yesterday, Us Weekly reports. It is thought Christina gave birth at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles via C-section.

This is Christina’s second child, being a mother to six-year-old son Max from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman. She and her former spouse tied the knot in 2005 and had their divorce finalised in April 2011.

News of her second pregnancy broke in February, and it was confirmed in March that she and Matt were expecting a little girl.

Christina shared how confident she felt during pregnancy at the beginning of the month, posing naked for V magazine.

"As a woman, I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store," she explained to the publication.

Last month the musician threw a lavish baby shower and dazzled in a gorgeous maxi dress alongside Matt. Her female pals are said to have enjoyed pink champagne and tucked into a humorous cake with the print of a woman giving birth on it.

"It was very romantic with candles everywhere," an insider previously revealed. "Christina looked so happy and excited."
