Hilary Duff and her estranged husband Mike Comrie share one “main focus”.
The Lizzie McGuire actress announced her separation from the athlete in January after three years of marriage.
The couple are parents to two-year-old son Luca and are good friends, as they frequently go on family vacations together.
But Hilary says there’s no secret to remaining amicable with Mike.
"There's no real trick," she told E! News at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards. "We're both doing so well that I'd rather not talk about it because it's old news. But we both care about [our son] and being the best parents we can be is our main focus."
The 26-year-old actress-and-singer has been working on her fifth studio album for quite some time.
And last month Hilary announced to fans her new EP will be released with RCA Records in the fall.
She admits her new music is incredibly special to her, as the songstress put a lot of effort into every tune.
"I took a break from music for quite awhile, but it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully and I'm really proud of the album I've made," Hilary said in a press statement released to ET Online. “I've worked very hard and the album is a great representation of the experiences I've had in my life and where I want to go from here!"
The first single from her latest offering is entitled Chasing the Sun and reached listeners on July 29, with the music video premiering on VEVO the same day.
