Formed from the embers of assorted punk and hardcore bands, The Ordinary Boys' story begins in Brighton.

Still in their teenage years at the time of it’s release their critically acclaimed debut album went gold and provided the band with four consecutive top forty hits. Over The Counter Culture, was an explosion of energy, frustration and angst which earned them support tours and endorsements from Morrissey, Paul Weller and the Who.

After earning a reputation as a consistently electrifying live band, they recorded second album Brassbound, which included anthem Boys Will Be Boys, the first of five Top Ten singles. They followed this with third album How To Get Everything You Ever Wanted In Ten Easy Steps which earned them their third gold disc. The fans of the Ordinary Boys, who dub themselves The Ordinary Army, have ensured that the live show remains as impassioned and cathartic as always.

Front-man Sam Preston is joined by original members Charlie and James with the addition of new guitarist Louis Jones formerly of celebrated power pop band Spectrals.

2014 sees the band returning to their roots. The Ordinary Army are recruiting again.
