Rihanna is apparently feeling "alone".
Last month a homeless man was arrested for allegedly leaving handwritten messages at the Barbadian singer's Manhattan apartment. It's also thought he sent four letters to her house in California.
The notes left for the 26-year-old called her a "b***h" and included threats the man, Kevin McGlynn, would break into her apartment.
"Rihanna was really frightened by the notes," an insider told British magazine Star.
"She spends a lot of time travelling the world, but her homes are her sanctuary. She feels creeped out and alone.
"Rihanna's never met this man before, so it was very strange and worrying."
The accused was held without bail and has a long list of previous trespassing arrests.
Luckily the star has been keeping herself busy. She made a surprise appearance at Lollapalooza festival earlier this month and performed Eminem's hit Stan alongside the rapper.
She's also been promoting her new fragrance Rogue Man with a set of steamy advertorial shots. In the pictures, Rihanna can be seen nuzzling a hunky topless model.
"LADIES!!! This September wake up next to your man smelling like this!!! Makes you wanna steal his Tshirts #ROGUEMAN (sic)," the excited popstar posted on Twitter.
She's also been sharing snaps of her new MAC campaign. For the cosmetics company Rihanna sports bright green hair and metallic lipstick.
"Check out my new @MACcosmetics #VivaGlam ad. All sales go to people affected by HIV/AIDS. Comin @ ya this September!! (sic)," she posted.
