Rosanne Cash to get award from T-Bone Burnett

American singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash, eldest daughter of music legend Johnny Cash, will receive the Performing Arts award presented by legendary musician, producer, and famed guitarist T-Bone Burnett.

The nine other Ingenuity Award recipients will be announced at the awards ceremony and featured in the November issue of Smithsonian Magazine.

Past winners and presenters have included David Byrne, Doug Aitken, Elon Musk, Jeff Koons, Dave Eggers, Herbie Hancock, Michael Beschloss, Dr. Adam Steltzner, Benh Zeitlin, and many more.

The third annual Smithsonian Magazine American Ingenuity Awards, an invitation-only gala event celebrating ten groundbreaking individuals in the arts, science, social progress, scholarship and technology.
