Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama are still "very much in love" despite breakup rumours, it has been claimed.
The 21-year-old singer and 34-year-old actor were first linked in 2010, but only publicly acknowledged their relationship in January this year.
Earlier this year Wilmer's Twitter account was hacked and raunchy private images of Demi were leaked. Not long afterwards there was speculation that the pair had called it quits, but that is apparently not the case.
"Demi and Wilmer are not broken up," an insider told RadarOnline.com.
"They are still a couple and very much in love."
Although still together, the pair don't live in each other's pockets. They both have a lot going on and apparently have no problem spending time apart as they know how important both their careers are.
"They are both really busy working on their own things right now,” the insider said. “Demi has been focusing on her music and releasing new material, and Wilmer is busy promoting his new TV series From Dusk Till Dawn.
"They have been through a lot together and the great part about their relationship is that they have a lot of trust."
Demi has been through a lot despite her young age, checking into rehab in 2010 to be treated for "physical and emotional issues". She later admitted having problems with alcohol and drugs and battling bulimia. Since receiving treatment the star has been sober and has been outspoken about her experiences in the hope of helping other young people.
"Wilmer is not sober, so her friends sometimes worry that he could lead her back to dangerous old habits," the insider claimed. “But Wilmer is not an addict and respects her sobriety very much. Demi is like a rock and is very dedicated to remaining sober.”
