Metallica's Lars Ulrich is "hooked and addicted" to Glastonbury.

The 50-year-old rocker performed with his iconic band at the UK's legendary festival last month, with the likes of Arcade Fire, Jack White and Dolly Parton also taking to the stage. Fans went mad for Metallica's show on the Pyramid Stage and Lars can't wait to get back into the atmosphere again.

"I am hooked and addicted, and me and my girl Jessica are already talking about returning next year and bringing more of our friends," he mused to Q magazine. "It doesn't matter what anybody tells you about Glastonbury, you don't know what it's like until you experience it for yourself."

Lars is joined in the group by James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo. Over the years they have won countless music awards for their nine albums, such as a Best Metal Performance Grammy. However, Lars and his bandmates haven't let the success go to their heads. In fact, there are several big rock acts who he would be excited to see at next year's event.

"Foo Fighters would blow that sh*t up. Black Sabbath would blow that sh*t up," Lars added. "Can I throw in my first bid for who I think Michael Eavis [the farmer who owns the festival field in England] has booked for next year? I have heard it might be a band whose lead singer is British, but none of the rest of the band are. Yeah... AC/DC. Come on! Can you imagine that?"
