Kelly Rowland wasn’t prepared for how much pregnancy would change her body.

The former Destiny’s Child singer is expecting a baby boy with husband Tim Witherspoon. And while fitness fan Kelly is doing her best to “go with the flow” during the pregnancy, she admits she has found her body changes tough to cope with.

“The most shocking thing about pregnancy to me is probably the way your body changes,” Kelly told People.com.

“Nobody can prepare you for that. Not a book, not anything. You just go through it.”

However, other than the changes to her body, 33-year-old Kelly has been coping well with her pregnancy so far.

As well as managing to avoid the dreaded morning sickness, Kelly is doing her utmost to stick to a healthy diet for both her sake and the sake of her baby.

“I love sandwiches right now,” Kelly said. “I’m reading these different books and they’re telling me what food is really great for the baby, to grow their nervous system, and their brain food and all that, so I’ve been trying to stay on that.”

Kelly accidentally revealed that she and Tim are expecting a boy during an interview with FOX411 on Thursday, when she referred to the baby as “him”.

“We’re very excited,” Kelly said at the press event for Caress skincare products. “So far, everything has been good. I just feel like the baby is already rotten - like literally, my Caress family has gotten him all of his little bathing stuff, his toys - it’s just so cool.”

Quickly realising she had let the baby’s gender slip, Kelly laughed: ‘It, it’s - aw, f**k it! It’s a boy. It’s a boy!”
