LeAnn Rimes insists she’s not a homewrecker.
The 31-year-old singer and husband Eddie Cibrian have opened the doors to their life for a new VH1 reality show.
LeAnn admits she’s hoping the series will change the misconceptions that people have about her marriage.
LeAnn and Eddie hit headlines when they first got together as the actor was still married to Brandi Glanville, with whom he has two children, while LeAnn was married to Dean Sheremet.
“People are always wanting to make it a story of me being a homewrecker and trying to take someone's kids,” LeAnn told People magazine. “They take the love I have for my family and twist it around in some weird, sick way.”
Eddie added he is hoping the series, which won’t show 11-year-old Mason or Jake, seven, will highlight the love he has for his LeAnn.
“The biggest global misconception would be that we're not two people who are really in love with each other, that there are ulterior motives to our relationship,” Eddie said.
“But people just don't get it. Hopefully people will get a chance to see how we just click."
Eddie, 41, had previously revealed that he wanted the series to show both his and LeAnn’s funny sides.
"Ultimately, we wanted to do a show and I think that this format and this genre, unscripted, gave us an opportunity to do something fun and work together," he told E! News. “This is a comedy and that's how we go about our life as well, is we laugh and it really helps."
