Rita Ora's new album has reportedly hit problems following her split from Calvin Harris.
The couple began dating in May 2013, but last month the producer used Twitter to announce they were no longer an item. It came just as a song they had made together called I Will Never Let You Down was topping charts, with the pair collaborating on a number of other tunes.
According to British newspaper The Sun, Calvin doesn't want those songs to appear on Rita's second record.
"Rita’s album has hit a bit of a road block after Calvin pulled all the songs he had worked on for the project before they split.
He’d made a lot of songs for her but they’re now likely to go to other artists," an insider told British newspaper The Sun.
Apparently, the Scottish star believes this is the only way to ensure he and Rita have a clean break.
The singer is known to be working hard on new material at the moment, as she's been keeping her fans updated with her work in the studio via social media. At the moment she's known to have teamed up with stars including Prince, Diplo and Macklemore and it's thought the LP will be out in September.
That doesn't mean the star hasn't had time for fun though - she's sparked speculation she is dating fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger's son after they were seen out and about together. This is said to be another reason why Calvin is said to be distancing himself.
"He doesn’t want to be linked with her, especially now she’s in a new relationship with Rich Hilfiger," the insider explained.
Last month it was claimed Rita was "a little mortified" that Calvin announced they'd broken up on Twitter. Apparently she had no idea he was going to make the news public, with claims their hectic schedules and the long-distance aspect of their romance were the problems.
