LeAnn Rimes has “always taken the high road” according to her husband.
The country singer and Eddie Cibrian wed in April 2011 after starting a relationship while they were both still married.
Because of how their relationship began, the media has constantly reported on a feud between LeAnn and Eddie’s first wife, Brandi Glanville. But according to her 41-year-old beau, the Can’t Fight the Moonlight singer doesn’t get sucked into the drama.
“Well, my wife doesn’t engage, I think that’s the thing too, that the media has made a feud out of this. A Twitter feud,” he explained during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. “I mean if you want to look back, really dig down and be a journalist, look at the timelines and you will see that there is a big discrepancy and there really is no going back and forth. My wife, sometimes, I mean, you eventually you have to say something. Enough is enough. But the truth is, she has always taken the high road.”
The couple met on the set of TV movie Northern Lights in 2009. The 31-year-old filed for divorce from her first husband Dean Sheremet soon after while Brandi submitted divorce papers after eight years of marriage to Eddie and two children.
Now the How Do I Live singer and her husband are starring in their own reality TV show, LeAnn & Eddie. The pair are looking forward to working alongside one another and showing off their humorous side despite all the ‘drama’ that surrounds them.
“Ultimately, we wanted to do a show and I think that this format and this genre, unscripted, gave us an opportunity to do something fun and work together," he told E! News last week.
