John Legend and Chrissy Teigen “really want” kids, according to the model.
The Sports Illustrated beauty married the singer in September 2013.
And she revealed while co-hosting US TV show Extra on Wednesday the pair feel ready to start a family as they inch closer to celebrating their one-year anniversary.
“We both really want kids… we are not, not trying, I will tell you that. As we say it’s a fun process… it's definitely going to be a surprise, and a surprise we'd be happy for,” she told host Mario Lopez.
Chrissy is currently promoting her new MTV show, Snack-Off.
The series features “munchie aficionados facing off to determine who can whip up the most memorable dish using random kitchen ingredients”, according to the network.
And while she’s known to grace the pages of magazines in teeny, tiny bikinis, the star insists she’s not afraid of chowing down.
“I love a good Hot Pocket and I love White Castle and I love Taco Bell,” she insisted.
The model also says she’s quite good in the kitchen - so much so that she’s dubbed herself the “soup master”.
“I cook three or four times a week, I made John homemade chicken soup late last night 'cause his voice is a little sore,” she said.
“I’ve dubbed myself the soup master. I love making soup. Something about soup makes me so happy… I’m on this tomato basil soup kick, then this chicken soup is really pretty good.”
