Lily Allen's Glastonbury appearance reportedly helped her overcome a rocky patch with her husband.

The Air Balloon singer and her other half Sam Cooper were rumoured to have gone through a difficult period after she decided to return to the spotlight last year following a two-and-a half-year hiatus. But the 29-year-old was reportedly thrilled that her spouse came along to support her during her performance at the annual festival.

"They'd been rowing lately, so it was such a relief for them to go to Glasto, get drunk together and have fun," a source told British magazine Closer. "It was really important for Lily that Sam came to support her and for him to see just how much she's putting into her work. A lot of the nights out she goes on are chances to network, keep her profile up and boost her career. She wanted Same to see it was paying off."

Lily has two daughters, Ethel, two and Marnie, 18-months, with builder Sam. She took an extended break from her singing career in 2010 and moved to the country to raise her children with the 36-year-old.

Although Sam proudly watched his wife from backstage, source believes more tension could be on the horizon considering the news that Lily will be supporting Miley Cyrus on her tour of the US.

"Sam's trying to be understanding, but Miley is known for her shocking behaviour and he's nervous about what Lily's stage shows will be like to match up," the source added. "He's also concerned Lily will be tempted to really let her hair down on tour and could wear herself out. Lily's reassured him this is a great career move and not to worry. She's saying she's happy things are back on track and doesn't want to do anything to create any more problems."
