Miley Cyrus has reportedly been enjoying a secret romance for nine months.
The 21-year-old singer worked with producer Mike Will Made It on her record Bangerz and was linked to him in September last year. Although the supposed relationship hasn’t been in the headlines much since, it’s been claimed the pair are an item.
“Everybody in her circle knows they've been together this whole time,” an insider told Us Weekly.
The pair apparently got close after Miley and actor Liam Hemsworth called off their engagement. It’s suggested things are going so well they are “pretty serious” about each other, with Miley’s family even giving the romance their blessing.
"Tish [Miley’s mom] says he's part of the family,” the source explained.
The singer has been on a world tour to promote her record, which means she hasn’t been able to see her beau that much. To keep the romance alive the pair apparently make sure they talk every day and text a lot too.
Miley and Mike were seen getting close following her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September.
However, following the news she had split from Liam Miley gave an interview insisting it was important to her to stay single for a while.
“I was so scared of ever being alone, and I think, conquering that fear, this year, was actually bigger than any other transition that I had, this entire year,” she revealed during an interview with Barbara Walters for her ABC special Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013.
“I don't ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like, without them, you can't be yourself.”
