Selena Gomez loves to wake up to a kind message.
The 21-year-old actress is thought to have broken up with her on/off boyfriend Justin Bieber, 20, earlier this year following a bitter row.
She's been posting cryptic pictures on Instagram to her followers, alluding to the fact that she's going through a tough time.
One was a snap of a message from an unknown sender saying: "I just wanna give you a hug and remind you how special you are."
"That's who you wanna wake up to. #promise. (sic)," Selena captioned the screen grab.
It's thought Justin and Selena's latest breakup happened because the pop bad boy's manager Scooter Braun didn't invite the Spring Breakers actress to his wedding on July 6.
The pair, who have been on and off since 2011, are even said to have spent the Independence Day holiday apart.
Selena also posted a picture of kind words from her fans, assuring them: "You're always listened to.
"And usually always right. (sic)"
Scooter married Yael Cohen and it was apparently the drama of his young client's relationship with Selena that put him off adding her as Justin's plus-one.
“Scooter made it clear that he just wanted Justin as that would allow the focus to be on their special day and not what Justin and Selena were doing,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Justin obeyed Scooter’s wishes which in turn got Selena upset and then got the ball rolling for them to fight and break up and not hang out during the 4th. It all spiralled from there.”
Justin doesn't seem to be giving anything away about his own love life. Instead, he tweeted his congratulations to his manager.
"Big weekend for the team! Congrats @scooterbraun and @yael on the wedding. We killed that Love Actually surprise! And now....!!!! (sic)" he wrote.
Justin was referring to a moment during the wedding when he surprised the blushing bride by jumping out to sing The Beatles' All You Need Is Love, just like in romantic flick Love Actually.
