The star-studded O2 Silver Clef Awards took place on Friday at London’s Hilton Hotel on Park Lane with rock legend Jimmy Page, heavy metal heroes Black Sabbath, living legend Sir Tom Jones, music man of the year Pharrell Williams and the stunning Laura Mvula and Paloma Faith included in the line-up of winners collecting awards at the lunch.
Presented by Gaby Roslin, the annual O2 Silver Clef Awards acts as the pinnacle fundraiser for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, which helps thousands of people across the UK every year. Having been supported by the music industry since 1976, the event never ceases to bring in the biggest names in the world of music.

Laura Mvula was presented with the Jack Daniel’s Best Newcomer Award
by Denise Lewis
Chas & Dave received the Investec Icon Award, presented by Vic Reeves
Paloma Faith was presented with the Royal Albert Hall Best British Act Award
by Guy Barker
Giorgio Moroder was presented with the American Express Innovation Award
by Basement Jaxx
Gareth Malone was presented with the PPL Classical Award by Laura Mvula
And Justin Timberlake was awarded the Best Live Act Award
As well as Bono presenting to Pharrell Williams, there were plenty of star-studded presenters giving out awards today including; Nick Grimshaw who presented to Black Sabbath, Basement Jaxx presented to Giorgio Moroder, Rob Brydon presented an award to his fellow Welshman Sir Tom Jones and Olympian Denise Lewis presented to Laura Mvula. Peter Andre was back at the awards for the second year running as the VIP red carpet interviewer.
An estimated £531,000 was raised on the day which included an auction of some unique items including dinner with Pharrell (went for £30,000), the original sheet music from Your Song, signed by Elton John (sold for £12,000), two tickets to one of Kate Bush’s sold out gigs this summer (went for £4,500), an exclusive Fender Stratocaster electronic guitar signed by the Rolling Stones (sold for £21,000) and a surprise lot added on the day, a Cherry Sunburst Les Paul Gibson electric guitar signed by the one and only Jimmy Page (went for £35,000).
This was the 39th O2 Silver Clef Awards. To date the event has raised nearly £9 million for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins. As the leading provider of music therapy in the UK, Nordoff Robbins work with people of all ages, with a range of conditions including autism, dementia, depression and physical and learning disabilities. For the many thousands of people they help every year, music therapy is a lifeline.
