John Mayer reportedly wants to pitch a reality show with Anthony Bourdain.

The musician has never hidden his deep love of reality television, admitting it’s one of his guilty pleasures.

And now it looks as if John wants to go into actually producing a show, called My Funny Friend.

"His concept is: Everyone things they have a buddy who's so hysterical, he or she should be in comedy," a source told US Weekly. "So people nominate their friends, and they go through a series of evaluations to determine if they're actually funny or not."

The singer apparently thinks the show would have “great human-interest angle” and pointed out “How much joy there is in seeing a friend happy!'"

The Grammy-winner is said to want celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain on board, not only because he is talented but because he has years and years of television experience under his belt with Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations and Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.

John opened up to Ellen DeGeneres in 2012 about his appreciation for reality TV, and his obsession with dating shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette in particular.

"I don't even feel like it's my fault for liking it," he said at the time. "It's not a guilty pleasure. It's designed to be a pleasure. It's like a producer's game. I wouldn't be as excited to meet a cast member as I'd be to meet the guy who cuts that show. They have to ask someone like [former Bachelor] Ben [Flajnik] like, 'Okay, Ben, we need you to walk out on the balcony without a shirt and just think.'"
