Jason Derulo promises to “turn up” the 4th of July.

The Wiggle hit maker, 24, will take the stage Friday on US breakfast programme Good Morning America to perform his latest hits on the country’s Independence Day.

And Jason promised viewers they wouldn’t be disappointed while sharing a shirtless snap on Instagram on Thursday.

“Yacht life getting ready 4 #GMA in the morning 2 turn up 4 the 4th of July meet me @ central park @ 7am NY performing and signing your talk dirty albums,” the singer captioned the photo of himself getting sun on a ship.

Jason released his reissued third album, Talk Dirty, back in April.

The release followed a career setback in 2012, when he suffered an onstage neck injury.

The pop star admitted afterwards he found writing new material for his latest musical offering helped his recovery more than anything else.

"I think it’s [the album] more of a representation of who I am as a person. I love to have a good time. I made this album for selfish reasons. I was trying to get myself out of a rut so I wasn’t doing it for anyone else, it was me just trying to get myself out of a dark place because of the injury I had," he told the US edition of OK! magazine.

And despite the record’s singles topping music charts, Jason insists that wasn’t his sole aim.

"It wasn’t about writing a hit album, it wasn’t about writing a hit song, but it was about making myself feel good and in the end I got an album that you can get to know me better on. That’s what I’m excited about. A lot of people have heard the hit songs but who is Jason Derulo?" he explained.

The album features help from an all-star cast, including collaborations with Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz and Jason’s longtime girlfriend, Jordin Sparks.
