Bruce Springsteen gets into directing

Earlier this month, Bruce Springsteen posted a picture with the silhouette of a man with a hatchet with the words “Coming Soon”. Speculation ran from a new album or another tour to a deluxe edition of The River, but nobody speculated it would be Bruce sticking his toe in the world of film making.

On July 9 at 12 PM ET, Springsteen will release the short film he co-directed with Thom Zimny, Hunter of Invisible Game, on his website brucespringsteen.net.

Hunter of Invisible Game is a track from Bruce’s High Hopes album, so the guess is that this may be a long-form music video, but we won’t know until a week from Wednesday. Zimny previously directed the videos for the title song from High Hopes and the track Dream Baby Dream.
