Jennifer Lopez wasn't proud of all her albums.

The singer released her first record On the 6 in 1999 and last month she introduced her eighth album A.K.A.

She might have an extensive discography, but the 44-year-old doesn't feel she's really made an impact with her music until now.

“I’m so proud of this album, and I couldn’t say that about all my albums,” she admitted to New York Daily News' Confidenti@l column. “Not that I wasn’t proud of them, but I really feel proud about this one.”

Jennifer and her ex-husband Marc Anthony have twins Max and Emme, six, together. The star is known for her humble beginnings - which she sang about on classic track Jenny from the Block - and is determined her children have a charmed life.

“I want to give them the best life. You want them to have everything, you want them to grow up and have everything better than you had it,” she revealed. “Learn more than you did and not make the mistakes you did. You just want everything to be perfect for them, so they definitely motivate me to be better — yes, in my job — but a better person.”

Jennifer has three divorces behind her and also went through public break-ups with former fiancé Ben Affleck and ex-boyfriend Casper Smart. Despite her difficult relationship history, the star, who is rumoured to be dating dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, still believes in true love.

“I believe in love more than ever, but I think I’ve gotten a little bit smarter about it,” she said. “I like to think I’ve grown up a little bit, and I think all that is reflected on the album. You hear that, you hear a stronger Jennifer maybe than you have in the past.”
