Ed Sheeran's dreams no longer have a "limit".
The musician's rise to fame has been rapid since he first entered the music scene in 2011 with his debut album +. He recently released his second offering x, which earned him his first ever number one single in the form of his track Sing.
With the record set to top charts around the globe, Ed is enjoying the perks which come with his stardom.
"I really love the big venues. I probably break the singer/songwriter trend in that sense because I like the big, energetic, live thing," he told British newspaper the Daily Star.
"I've changed in the sense that my dreams and aspirations have become bigger. They don't have a limit on them now."
Ed is getting ready to rock the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury festival on Sunday, where he'll be joined by the likes of Kasabian and The Black Keys. He may be excited to perform to the crowds, but the 23-year-old star is looking forward to seeing his pal Sam Smith even more. Sam is currently rising to international fame, with his first record In the Lonely Hour entering Billboard's Top 200 upon its release.
"I'm bowled over by how sweet he is. There doesn't seem to be a bad bone in his body," Ed gushed of Sam. "He's just very calmly, quietly spoken and then this voice comes out of nowhere.
"He doesn't seem to be someone that would get that angry. He's never going to have a diva strop, I can tell you that for free."
Ahead of Sunday Ed has shared what song he wants fans to get learning for when he takes to the stage.
"Thinking Out Loud," he said. "It was the last song that I wrote for x. It's my favourite song on the album and I think it will be everyone else's favourite song on the album."
