Kanye West is reportedly teaching at a fashion college for his community service.

The Yeezus singer cut a plea deal earlier this year to avoid jail after being charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft after allegedly attacking a photographer. Kanye agreed to 24 months informal probation and 250 hours community service as punishment for the attack last summer in Los Angeles. But the 35-year-old has managed to avoid the highway clean up jobs that are typically associated with community service, and is carrying out his hours in a subject much closer to home.

“He's kicking off his community service in fashionable form -teaching at a fashion school,” TMZ reported. The outlet added that the Stronger performer has visited the L.A. Trade Technical College three times in the last six weeks. The institute specialises in designing apparel, and as a fashion designer himself, Kanye is able to share his experience with the students.

Kanye had already had a reputation for hating the paparazzi when he got into an altercation with Daniel Ramos outside Los Angeles International Airport last year. But it seemed like the star, who married Kim Kardashian last month, was starting to change his mind about the photographers that follow him around when he spoke to a photographer while he was filling his car with petrol in Calabasas, California in October last year.

“I know it makes a cool photo, I got a cool ass car, I got a dope ass outfit on it’s all good but we’re in this together," he was quoted as saying by TMZ at the time. "You help me, you help with the family, you help Kim, I’m not trying to be at you all the time. I don’t want to be a negative influence on you guys, I don’t want you to be negative on me, I would prefer that we have a good relationship."
