Louis Tomlinson is reportedly hocking photos of himself in a bid to raise money for his football club.
The 22-year-old One Direction singer was recently unveiled as the new owner of the Doncaster Rovers, and according to the Sunday People, he hopes charging fans $425 for a photo with him will help boost the club’s bank account.
The newspaper reports Louis is hoping to raise about $210,000 with the gimmick, which will also offer supporters the chance to be the team's mascot for $340; the chance to be part of a half-time freekick for $510; and a VIP box at a game for $20,400.
Apparently those who choose the less pricey option of a simple snap with the star will also get to chat with Louis for 10 minutes, as well as the opportunity to nab his autograph.
The effort is reportedly part of a larger $3.4 million fundraising campaign to eventually get the League One team into the English Premier League.
According to the outlet, funds will be deposited into the account of the Tomlinson Ryan Trust, set up by Louis and the club’s former chairman, John Ryan.
The fundraising efforts, promoted on the trust’s website, follow on the heels of Louis’ admission he’ll need to grow up quickly in the wake of making such a major purchase.
“I have to mature a little bit,” he told UK newspaper The Sun. “This is life-changing for me. I’m going to have to start acting dead serious. I can’t be a big kid any more or play pranks.”
Louis also said he “absolutely” plans to be “very involved” with the club, and revealed he made sure to get the OK from bandmates Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik before he made the decision.
“With anything like this, it’s always polite and nice to ask. It’s nice to have their backing,” Louis explained.
He’s also made efforts to assure fans of 1D, which is currently on tour, the band won’t take a backseat.
“Football is definitely not a bigger passion than music — the two are on a par,” he said.
