Travis front-man Fran Healy spoke to Absolute Radio DJs Pete Donaldson & Sarah Champion at the Isle of Wight Festival and revealed they used to regularly sleep in a Tipi.

Fran said, “When we lived in London, we got a Tipi. Instead of going on holiday, I was like….let's get a Tipi! It stayed there for maybe five years. The neighbours were just like…oh, god them nutters. There they go again."

Travis Bass Guitarist Dougie Payne added, “It was one of those real ones, so you can do a campfire inside it and it's absolutely fine, it is designed so that the smoke just disappears”.

Fran Healey, “It was awesome. There was one night in our Tipi where I was out with Susie, a friend of ours. She was with loads of Japanese people, they were over and she knew them. And they all ended up back at mine, in this Tipi with a fire on and it was terrible. And they were all very polite and they wouldn't get up. They were all nearly dying, there were such bad fumes. It was bad”.
