Jennifer Lopez denies rumours she’s dating dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The I Luh Ya PaPi hitmaker recently split from dancer/choreographer Casper Smart after two-and-a-half years and it didn’t take long for reports to emerge JLo had moved on and into the arms of Dancing With the Stars professional Maks.
But the pop star took to Twitter on Thursday, dismissing the rumours in a response to a radio station’s remark about the claims.
"No I'm not. (dating anyone new already.)," she wrote.
The denial comes days after JLo announced her split from Casper, the co-creative director for her 2012 Dance Again World Tour.
People magazine reported earlier this week Casper returned to Los Angeles Friday and reluctantly began packing while his ex was out of town in New York City.
"He is upset about the split. He really wanted to stay with Jennifer. He loves her and her kids,” a source said.
JLo has yet to elaborate on the reason behind the split. A source recently told E! News the break-up resulted over a lack of trust.
"Whether there is any truth to what is being reported or not, it's irrelevant. Jennifer did not trust him," a source said. "The relationship had not been right for a while. Smart was never going to be the love of her life, but he was fun and a nice guy to be around. It stopped being fun once his friendships with other people started to come to light."
Spokespersons for both parties have not commented on the claims.
