Robin Thicke reportedly splurged on a spiritual stone for “purification and protection”.
The 37-year-old Blurred Lines singer was photographed walking out of Crystalarium in West Hollywood this week, a store that specialises in gems.
He had a huge bag in his hands while exiting the shop and his four-year-old son Julian with estranged wife Paula Patton was walking by his side.
According to TMZ, Robin may be looking to tap into his spiritual side with the 2 ft high amethyst stone he purchased.
“Thicke spent a few thousand bucks on the stone -- which is used for purification and protection ... as well as getting in touch with the higher consciousness,” the website explained.
Robin previously spoke about how spirituality impacts his music.
While promoting his third studio album Something Else in 2008, he confirmed his beliefs are often infused in his songs.
“With me I think there's always been a little bit of self-examination, spirituality and love in the music,” he told Pete Lewis of Blues & Soul.
“But, where the last album was more me sitting around my house with my piano writing all these songs to make MYSELF feel better, this time I've started talking more about OTHER PEOPLE'S experiences, rather than just my own. The feeling I had while writing these songs was that I wanted to embrace people, and that I wanted to BE embraced.”
Robin split from his wife of nearly nine years Paula in February.
And although the pair have never fully discussed the reasons for their split, he has made no secret of his desire to work things out.
