Sir Mick Jagger ensured his Rolling Stones shows wouldn’t conflict with World Cup matches.
The 70-year-old musician is a huge football fan and it is claimed he isn’t willing to miss England play at the 2014 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament for anything.
Apparently Mick is so serious about watching soccer the star has demanded he have access to World Cup footage at every stop on his tour.
“Mick worked out when the England games would be and made sure they wouldn’t be performing at the same time,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
“He’s such a big footie fan, he wanted to make sure he didn’t miss any matches.
“He’s also insisted there’s a decent telly with an English feed at whatever hotel and city the band are in.”
The Rolling Stones play a gig in Paris at the Stade de France Friday night, but it appears their schedule is open at the weekend, which means Mick may get to see England play against Italy on Saturday.
Apparently he will fly out to Brazil to witness the final and semi-final live.
The Rolling Stones frontman put the band's 14 On Fire tour on hold after his partner of 13 years, fashion designer-and-model L’Wren Scott, committed suicide in March.
The band, which is also comprised of Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, returned to the stage a few weeks ago, putting on a rocking show for fans at the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway.
