Gwyneth Paltrow and her good friend Beyoncé Knowles are supposedly going on holiday together.
The pair have been close pals for several years and it is claimed the women are preparing to go on a retreat in Central California. Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z was attacked in an elevator by her sister Solange and since the May incident speculation is rife the couple are experiencing marital problems.
British newspaper The Sun reports Gwyneth set up a four-day holiday for Beyoncé with the hopes of lifting up the XO singer’s spirits in the wake of the Solange controversy.
“Gwyneth reckons this is just what her friend needs to get her energy back,” a source told the publication.
Apparently Gwyneth and Beyoncé will be taking hikes, wine tasting, eating chocolate and doing yoga during their relaxing jaunt.
It is claimed the Grammy-winning songstress has been leaning on her Academy Award-winning friend heavily since the Solange attack furore unfurled in the press.
Speculation is rife Jay-Z has also looked to his friends for advice on how to move forward.
"They've been seeking marriage guidance, as well as advice from pals including Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, who took the same step and lived apart when their marriage was in crisis, to get some much-needed breathing space," a source revealed to British magazine Grazia recently.
Beyoncé and Jay said their vows in 2008, and are proud parents to two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
The pair will begin their joint On the Run Tour summer concert series on June 25 in Miami.
