Chris Brown is reportedly defending Justin Bieber from accusations of racism.

Justin caused controversy when videos were released of the then-15-year-old pop star using racially offensive language.

But Chris, who worked with Justin on 2011’s Next To You, believes the singer is being unfairly judged, according to Hollywood Life. He apparently believes Justin simply “made a mistake” and should be forgiven for his actions.

“Justin is a straight-up good dude who means well, and nothing about him is racist,” a source said. “Chris is still down for Justin and is still riding for him.”

Another person who has defended Justin is 50 Cent, who says the 20-year-old is “still a baby”.

According to 50, it was just a silly mistake and nothing serious.

"I don’t think he’s racist. I don’t think even he knows who he is at this point - he’s so young," the rapper told British newspaper The Sun.

"When you see people become huge stars real early, it’s tough for them. You have to grow up with all these expectations. I think Justin’s still a baby and he’s lost. Every time I saw him, I saw a young guy who wanted to be around the excitement," he said.

Justin has publically apologised for the footage, saying he was young and stupid when he made those jokes.

According to the 20-year-old, he has learned from the experience and has grown.

"Facing my mistakes from years ago has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever dealt with," he said in a statement to Us Weekly. "But I feel now that I need to take responsibility for those mistakes and not let them linger. I just hope that the next 14-year-old kid who doesn’t understand the power of these words does not make the same mistakes I made years ago. At the end of the day I just need to step up and own what I did."
